RELIGION: THE TUG OF WAR BETWEEN LIBERTY & FAITH

The supreme court has given it a wider content in Lakshmindra [1] that religion is a matter of faith with Individuals or communities and it is not merely theistic. There are well known religions in India like Buddhist & Jainism which do not believe in god. A Religion is a matter of faith. It is based on beliefs and doctrine which are regarded by those who profess that religion as conductive to their spiritual well-being but it is something more than mere doctrine of belief. A religion may not only lay down a code of ethical rules for its followers to accept but may also prescribe rituals and observances, ceremonies a
